Help Us Welcome Our New Arrival
Weighing in at 26,000 lbs. and size at 38' L x 8.5 ' W x 12'9" H.
You just announced your new arrival. It took endless months of planning from fundraising and coordinating to marketing and designing to everything else in between. Now what?
You spent a lot of money on your new mobile unit; don’t waste your efforts and money. The sole purpose of your mobile unit is to serve your community and those who are in need. So, take care of it as if you are spending your very own money.
Every mobile unit built by ADI Mobile Health leaves our parking lot with an “As Built Binder” to be kept in the unit, not in your administration office! The Binder is your A-Z guide for both vehicle and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. WAIT…. What’s that word… Maintenance? That’s right! Regularly scheduled maintenance is critical to keeping your mobile unit on the road. You take care of your car, home, and family. Take care of your mobile!
Who should be doing all this maintenance?
Some organizations have their own maintenance department and drivers, while others do not. For those of you who do not, we recommend hiring a Mobile Van Manager who is mechanically inclined. Those functions should NOT fall into the laps of your hygienist, nurse, etc. The main function of the Mobile Van Manager will be to drive the mobile from location to location, keep on track with the maintenance schedule, and tuck your baby in at night. Yes, this might be an added expense that you had not thought about; however, if you think about it your other staff members are there for an entirely specific job. Do you want them to be responsible for maintenance, too?
If you take care of your mobile unit what is the life expectancy?
ADI Mobile Health estimates a lifespan of 10-13 years if you follow a structured maintenance plan. As of 2024, our oldest working mobile unit is still out serving others 23 years later and doing $500,000 a year in dentistry. That could be you too! Take care of your mobile healthcare vehicle so you and your team can take care of others!
